is a large climber with glossy green leaves.
Comments:
Legend says it was carried by the Cherokee Indians as they left their
homelands on the Trail of Tears to Oklahoma, and that they planted cuttings
along the way. The spread of this
rose is much more attributable to Thomas Affleck of Mississippi who sold large
quantities of this rose as a hedge for plantations before barbed wire was
invented.
