Edith Holden

Syn:  The Edwardian Lady

ARS Rating:

Class:   Shrub

Date:

Breeder:

Blooms:  Nearly single.

Bloom Frequency:  Repeats.

Color:   Difficult color to describe and photograph.  They are a tan or brownish pink to start and grow more brownish red as they age.  It is a rich color and this description does not do it justice.

Fragrance:  Little.

Thorns:  Some prickles.

Approximate Height:  4’ x 5’

Description and Care:  Has grown fairly well for me, in a difficult spot, although it can get black spot if you do not water it sufficiently, or if conditions are "right" for black spot.

Comments:  I bought this rose on a whim and have been very pleased, overall.  The unusual color looks well with daisies and black-eyed Susans, and this may be a nice rose for those more naturalized areas.

Zones:  4-9
